Charlie Chaplin
Signed original artwork by Michael Jackson. The image here is a painting of Charlie Chaplin, created by Michael when he was only 9 years-old. Chaplin was influencial to Jackson, and their lives held many similarities. Chaplin was quoted as saying his childhood ended at age seven, as he began performing. Both became international celebrites, and expirenced life under the watchful and critical eye of the public. Jackson once toured Chaplin's old neighborhoood in London. While there, he comissioned a photographer for a photo shoot of him dressed as Chaplin. In 1997 Michael recored a version of Chaplin's signature song "Smile" for the HIStory Album. The single cover has Michael dressed as Charlie Chaplin
